The Cole Family has been making pottery in North Carolina since the 1700's. With a strong lineage behind her, Sandy Cole continues the family's craft. She and her husband, Kevin, started North Cole Pottery in 1989. All of their pottery is handmade and wheel-thrown stoneware.

Over the years, they have developed a wide range of colorful glazes to complement their many shapes of clay. The turned cookware and serving pieces are made for everyday use and can be put into the oven, dishwasher and microwave.

Sandy's specialties are face jugs. Her detailed and life-like expressions appear on an assortment of shapes, making each piece unique and individual. Animals made at the shop include cats, pigs, frogs, chickens, turtles, snakes and fish.

From a tall graceful Rebecca pitcher to a tiny one inch miniature, you're always sure to find quality and variety in their works.
